Children Summer Camp

Set at our stunning Finca we offer an exciting seven day childrens summer camp, based around bushcraft, survival, nature and outdoor games.

These are very popular and for many children they are the highlight of their summer holidays and they take home with them lifelong memories and friendships.

Whilst they are with us they will also learn a set of vital life skills; including developing confidence and discovering the joys of cooperation and sharing. In addition these camps enable the parents to find some time for themselves during the long and busy summertime.

We offer a variety of fun packed and exciting activities which will include:

Nature trail treasure hunts.
Bread making in a traditional wood fired oven.
Dyeing t-shirts with natural dyes.
Laying Native American trails to follow.
Building a natural survival shelter.
Becoming nature detectives.
Making clay pots.
Learning about the animals and plants on the finca by following animal tracks.
Finding wild foods.
Learning how to navigate using the sun and the stars.
Weaving grasses and leaves into bracelets and ropes.
Making a raft to sail along the river.
Plus lots of nature based games and quiet time as well.

We have a beautiful camping area with toilet and shower facilities and meals will be taken under the shade of our giant oak tree. There is a large fenced lawn area where games take place and the children can play and relax.

The grounds themselves are criss-crossed with nature trails that snake though wooded areas, along the river bank to our natural ecological pool. Here the children can play and cool down in the heat of the day.

Of course safety and welfare is paramount and we employ professional monitors at a 1:5 ratio with the children. These staff all have first aid training and all the camps are fully insured.

The summer camps are fully catered with three delicious meals per day of home cooked local organic food. All diets can be catered for.
