Lenguaventura Teen Summer Camp for 14-17 Year Olds
Rewilding Bushcraft is proud to work with Lenguaventura as the exclusive supplier of multi-activities for this highly successful international summer camp.
The multi activity program from the Lenguaventura teen summer camp in Tarifa with which we started Lenguaventura in 2003 has become now in 2017 the Eco-Citizen Program and like our two other activities (kitesurfing and windsurfing) it will have a progress award.
This program for Young Adventurers is an action packed and ground breaking set of experiences created specifically for teenagers. Not only will this be a fun packed and adventurous option, it also paves the way for our Eco-Citizen award. This approach allows the teenagers to become aware of the wonders of nature and how they can start to become more conscious of the world that they live in and to build up a set of vital life skills.
Moving with confidence in nature; being able to light a fire without a lighter, designing and making driftwood rafts, discussing the concepts of waste and creating art work with recycled material, exploring waterfalls and making survival shelters are some of the activities that we will offer.
The highlight will however be Creating our Own Lenguaventura Nature Reserve. On our beautiful organic estate we have set aside an area dedicated to the Lenguaventura teen summer camp. Here the teens will be involved in creating a nature reserve for both the special wildlife of the area as well as future generations of explorers. In the wildlife area we will be making a mini wetland, bird nesting boxes, bat roost houses and places for the animals to hibernate. In addition we will plant up the meadow with wild flowers to attract some of Europe’s rarest and most magnificent butterflies. By doing this the campers will really be making a difference as well as creating beautiful space. Lenguaventura will keep the young adventurers up to date after the summer camp with everything through regular facebook postings and newsletters as the reserve develops.
Central to the successful achievement of these programs will be teamwork, cooperation and solidarity; the nurturing of these skills is at the forefront of our approach.
Many of the programs will take place on Tarifa’s beautiful beaches and we will spend a lot of quality time on their unspoilt white sandy shores, with crystal clear waters, organizing and participating in these activities for the young adventurers.
Wednesdays and weekends is the time where the whole group, also from the Kitesurf and Windsurf undertakes activities together, such as fieldtrips or leisure/sport activities.
